FLYING

If you're coming from out-of-state, fly into SEA (Seattle-Tacoma Airport), Bellingham Airport, or Vancouver, B.C. Airport in Canada. From there, you can either rent a car/drive or take a shuttle to the ferry terminal in Anacortes, WA.

You can also get to Friday Harbor by taking a small scenic plane or seaplane from Seattle, Everett, Bellingham, and other locations, or a private boat.

SMALL PLANE COMPANIES:

Friday Harbor Seaplanes

Kenmore Air

THE FERRY

From the Anacortes ferry terminal, you will take a ferry to Friday Harbor, located on San Juan Island. You have two options for this:

DRIVE-ON: If you plan to drive note that you will need to make a ferry reservation in advance if you want to ensure a spot. Summer is the high season on the San Juan Islands. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.

WALK-ON: If you are able to walk short distances and are staying in downtown Friday Harbor this is a great option (very limited taxis on the island so you need to be able to walk with your luggage to your hotel). Walk-on passengers do not need to make ferry reservations but should plan to be there at least 30 minutes before departure. There is also overnight parking available close to the ferry terminal but it can be crowded in the summer, so plan to arrive extra early if you want to park.

ON THE ISLAND

Friday Harbor is a small, walkable town. We will have shuttles from downtown Friday Harbor to events at Saltwater Farm (~1.5 miles from town).

TAXIS: There are no Uber/Lyft and very limited taxi services on the island so make sure to call and reserve ahead of time if you plan to use them.
Eco Taxi - (360) 777-7572

RENTALS (CAR/BIKE/MOPED):

Q&A

WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?
Please RSVP by May 9th!

CAN I BRING A DATE?
Please check your invite for a +1.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN ALLERGY/DIETARY RESTRICTION?

All meals will have vegan/vegetarian options. When responding to your RSVP, please note your dietary restrictions and allergies in the space provided so we can plan accordingly.

IS THERE TRANSPORTATION BEING PROVIDED BETWEEN RECEPTION AND HOTELS?

Transportation will be provided between a central pickup location in downtown Friday Harbor and Saltwater Farm for the Welcome Dinner, Wedding + Reception, and Farewell Breakfast. The schedule will be shared closer to the event.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

The average temperature in August is 71°F during the day with a low of 50°F at night. The islands are more than twice as sunny and half as rainy as Seattle due to the Olympic Mountains' "rainshadow" effect. Be sure to check the weather and pack accordingly! A light sweater/shawl/coat is recommended for the evenings as temperatures drop quite a bit after sunset.

ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION LOCATIONS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!

WHAT IF I HAVE ANOTHER ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENT?

Please note any accessibility requirements in the space provided on your RSVP, and we will do our very best to accommodate!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please see our schedule for suggested dress for each event - however, wear what makes you feel comfortable!

IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour are outside and the reception is indoors.

WHAT KIND OF SHOES SHOULD/SHOULDN'T I WEAR?
When selecting your shoes for the weekend, be mindful of the grass and gravel around the property!

IS IT OKAY TO TAKE PICTURES WITH OUR PHONES AND CAMERAS DURING THE WEDDING?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them in our group album (link to follow).
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

DO YOU HAVE A REGISTRY?
We’re still working on our registry and will have details available soon. That said, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for, and no other gift is necessary! Thank you for celebrating with us—we can’t wait to see you!
